Excellent submission which has changed by attitude towards the cycling lobby. I haven’t read so much common sense written about the Irish railway system in a very long time. I hope you sent Eamonn Ryan a copy – not that it will do much good.

    Thanks for that David.
We certainly will be sending it to the Minister – and other transport spokespersons, and to various officials. We will also be raising the same (and further) points in other forums we will be taking part in.

Yes, an extremely well informed submission which highlights many of the gaps in the present rail system. Goes a long way too to smooth out some of the rancour and division encouraged in some political quarters, and further encouraged by myopic decisions such as the Youghal greenway, which seek to divide the rail and cycling lobbies. This submission highlights that both parties really have a common goal.

Excellent! Very well thought out. It would be wonderful if it was taken on board.

Brilliantly direct, incisive and well informed submission which, alone, will give the sponsors of the Strategic Rail Review much to think about. The range of passengers catered for in R.of I. is discriminates against too many groups such as yourselves and pet lovers.
    Great work !!

Good point about the pets as well.

Incredibly naïve view about expanding the rail network which simply is not going to happen. Views about the railway in the west and north west connecting Galway and Sligo gives more false hope to West on Track, surprised at the views on this.
